Figuring out the menu path of a desktop file

Hi,

I'm writing an installer system, and at the end of the install it'd be
nice to tell the user where in the menus the launchers were placed. On
Windows XP they highlight the menu options, which is OK, but so far no
desktop has done that, so it'd be good to show the user where in the
menus the entry was put (otherwise we find users can't always find
them).

Is there a little program you can run, that given a desktop file will
print (for instance):

"System Settings/Server Settings/HTTP server"

If not, how hard would it be to write one?
