As Oswald said, each desktop would get their own autostart directory and
a common one.

/usr/share/kde/autostart
/usr/share/gnome/autostart
/usr/share/autostart

~/.local/autostart
~/.gnome2/autostart (or maybe ~/.local/gnome/autostart ?)
~/.kde/autostart (or maybe ~/.local/kde/autostart ?)
