Info on X Render

Hello,

I'm trying to find any useful information about programming X Render extension. I can't find anything except protocol description and some articles by Keith Packard, as well as header files in /usr/include/X11/extensions.

Is there exist sample code, some more detailed descriptions? Google brings many references to www.eax.com/render which seems to be down.
