Problem in HAL 2.0 spec

In part "7.9. net, net.ethernet namespace", the property
net.ethernet.rate (int) is defined as a 32bit integer value and would be
insufficient for classifying 10GBit Ethernet.

Perhaps going the Intel way of specifying both a numeric part and the
magnitude (bit/s, Kbit/s, Mbit/s, ...) would be a viable option?
