I keep finding myself explaining little bits of ACAP. Rather than explaining 
it all piecemeal, here's a list of references to read.

 - My own badly written ACAP tutorial, mostly concerned with the data model 
rather than the protocol.

 - Ryan Troll's draft attempts to describe the data model. I based a lot of 
my early examinations of ACAP on this - there are, however, some aspects of 
it which I found misleading.
