The GPL can be used in a "commercial" product.  Whether or not the D-BUS
license is acceptable to your particular needs is something you will
need to discuss with a lawyer, as is the case with *every* software
license.

In general, though, linking a proprietary app with the D-BUS C library
is allowed and any process under any license is allowed to talk to the
D-BUS daemon.
