I think the problem is that there are categories defined that are not as well 
supported by the current applications.menu files out there as some people 
would like. Of course the applications.menu itself is not part of the spec, 
so technically it's not an issue with the spec. It was previously suggested 
to see if we can come up on freedsktop.org with a recommended 
applications.menu, we could try to work out issues like these in that context 
then.
