SVG icon animation tweening

Hi,

Does anyone know of any projects that have tried to tackle icon animation
tweening on the desktop?  I've thought about it for awhile and it would be
quite a beautiful feature to have single icon files with embedded animations
for different actions.  A standard would be necessary to establish so that
all DEs could implement it.

Any thoughts or comments?
