Sorry, really busy this month, didn't dig into the details of the dbus spec;
I'm sure you can find the correct way to add cancelling at the DBUS-API level at least.
On that topic I just read the mail from Brian J. Tarricone on 02 September 2008,
and I totally agree on all of his points - it seems the need for cancelling was already
proven before I even jumped in ;)

Sorry, this kind of code is really not familar to me ;) I guess you would say the same
if I pasted KDE code ;) But this was about what I just replied to - the need for
bypassing the on-disk cache if the app wants a specific size, rather than resizing
up an image, which never ever gives good results.
