To give you an example - project I lead, OpenInkpot, is e-ink e-book
focused embedded Linux distro. Not quite a "desktop" project, you can
say, but still fd.o specs are quite important for us (and some of them
clearly don't take requirements for semi-embedded systems seriously,
which I'd like to change).
