get those icons into the spec because of endless disucssions with you
about trivialities and tarry progress on those discussions. Instead I
should just get those new icons into the distributions and forget
about your whole process.

The way you are handling the icon naming spec you are undermining its
acceptance. It's OK if there are other things that you need to do and
don't have the time to look after the spec anymore. But please, then
be honest about it and at least try to find someone else to maintain
it. I am quite confident that one could fine someone who'd be willing
to take over maintainership.
