.log directory

Request for Comments/Standards update suggestion:

I would like to suggest a ".log" directory in the $HOME directory like the 
".cache" directory.
The ".log" directory would be a good place for all the log, history and recent 
files which litter the $HOME directory or fill up unnoticed in some config 
subdirectorys.

Examples for files which would be good candidates for placing in this ".log" 
directory:

.recently-used
.recently-used.xbel
.xsession-errors
.lesshst
.bash_history
.config/inkscape/extension-errors.log
.config/audacious/log

to name only a few.

Maybe even cookie files like
.Xauthority
.ICEauthority
.pulse-cookie
etc. would fit into this directory.
