Hi all,

This is my first post on this list so I will present myself: my name
is Jorge and I'm a cartography engineer working at Prodevelop in
Valencia (Spain).

I'm writing to you on behalf of the technical team of the gvSIG
project[1]. We develop a desktop free software tool to work with
Geographical Information Systems to manage and analyse geospatial
data, author maps, etc. At free geospatial realm we don't have any
icon naming standard even some efforts have been done by others on
this matter[2].

We are doing a complete normalization of our icons names according to
the Tango naming guidelines and we would be interested on contributing
this job (if it's interesting) to the Tango project in order to have a
set of icon names (prior to any icon theme) for geospatial tools but
we have no idea about the procedure, samples on prior submissions,
etc. so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance, best regards.
Jorge
