Depends from the standing point. If the daily job is regular tweeting,
lurking around github or surfing, then they are extremely busy.

You see, the problem here is not questioning what the new maintainers
could do, because you need to became maintainer first. Now, using
empirical knowledge from the current state, becoming maintainer would
take 1-4 years.

And let not forget that you (iff someone decided you can have account on
this holy place) will probably need to seek silent approval from this
list and that will take couple of months more.

Through Bugzilla again. Sorry, no direct contacts allowed. Actually, it
is much easier to get the list of NSA employees than to get even basic
information like _who_ the current maintainers are.

TBH, you will easily catch them on debian or xorg mailing lists than
here...
