Exchange patches doens't in any way imply it's automatic. You'd simply do git 
pull for the branch and see if there are any extra patches. If these patches 
are for translation you can merge/cherry-pick them. If there are more 
substantial changes, then questions should be asked as to why they were 
introduced at all.
