Confused about xesam:asText

To whom it may concern,
    I'm trying to develop a lyrics OSD. I have found the filed xesam:asText
in MPRIS, but have some arguments about it.
    I wonder whether it should be the full lyrics of the whole song or the
lyrics of the sentence currently playing.
    If it should be the full lyrics of the whole song, is there any format
standard to parse it. For example, should it be .lrc or .src ?
