RFE: Make location of the font encodings files configurable. Right now the index
and mapping files must always be located under fonts/ even when this location is
sub-optimal (like on Solaris which already has a fonts/encodings/ directory -
but those files there have a completely different format which is currently
unsupported by the Xorg tree).
