thanks for the quick response!

hm.  two major changes to r200 between those two dates; new glTexImage stuff on
the 21st and the switch to t_vertex on the 23rd.

could you pull and build Mesa from CVS for each of april 20, 22, and 24 and
report which one(s) are broken?  (you shouldn't need to change xc each time). 
you can use the -D flag to CVS' checkout verb to do this:

cvs -d ... co -D 2004-04-20 Mesa

and then build as in the Building page on the wiki.  technically you only need
to use the r200_dri.so file from each build cycle, which will be in
xc/exports/lib/modules/dri.

i'm usually in #dri on freenode if you need realtime help.
