Summary: No hi-res modes on Commel LV-671mobo with 855GM chipset
           Product: xorg
           Version: 6.7.0
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: P2
         Component: Driver/i810
        AssignedTo: xorg-bugzilla-noise at freedesktop.org
        ReportedBy: schuller at bridgedec.chess.cornell.edu

2004-06-08 Attempting to get Xwindows display working properly on a
Commell LV-671NSMP motherboard. http://www.commell.com.tw/Product/SBC/LV-671.HTM
Chipset: Intel 855GM/GME GMCH built-in Intel Extreme Graphics 2

Red Hat Enterprise, SuSE 9.1 and Fedora Core 2 all fail out of the box to
configure any resolution greater than 640x480. The most extensive testing was
done with Fedora Core 2, kernel 2.6.5-1.358, xorg-x11-6.7.0-2.

In the X.org log file, when the driver polls the video BIOS for modes, they all
come out filled with 0 except for the 640x480 mode.
Xorg log file: http://staff.chess.cornell.edu/~schuller/Xorg.0.log.clean
configfile: http://staff.chess.cornell.edu/~schuller/xorg.conf

Tried 855patch and 855wrap: http://www.chzsoft.com.ar/855patch.html
These did not fix the problem. Resolution is still 640x480.
