Summary: CPU at 100%, keyboard not working, at every boot
           Product: xorg
           Version: 6.8.1
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: blocker
          Priority: P2
         Component: Input/Keyboard
        AssignedTo: xorg-bugzilla-noise at freedesktop.org
        ReportedBy: gmartyn at verizon.net

At startup, the system gets to the point where it is displaying the kdm.

I can't login though, because the keyboard isn't working.

If I click on Restart X Server, 15% of the time I am able to login. 85% of the
time, the keyboard still isn't working. Once my desktop shows, CPU usage for X
is maxed out, and I can't type anymore.

I can fix this situation by SSH'ing into the computer, then doing the
"runlevel 3; runlevel 5" thing. The keyboard works flawlessly after that.

Looks like there's a similar bug #1399, but they are not able to get to
runlevel 5, and changing runlevels does not help their situation.
