Summary: doesn't resume as well as it should
           Product: xorg
           Version: CVS_head
          Platform: PC
               URL: http://bugs.debian.org/234575
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Driver/Radeon
        AssignedTo: xorg-bugzilla-noise at freedesktop.org
        ReportedBy: daniel at freedesktop.org

On some chips, when we come back from a resume, the card is still stuck in
ACPI's D3cold (basically, zero power), and it comes back up in an incomplete
state; the most obvious symptom of this is thinking it has a memory size of
zero. The attached patch (Debian/Ubuntu #079, has been present for a while)
re-POSTs the card, which allows S3 suspend/resume for a lot of Dell laptops and
has caused no known problems elsewhere.
