Reports of this bug on Linux; I've verified it on NetBSD. Recommended
workaround is to downgrade to XFree 4.2.1 - the bug was introduced in
4.3.0. I've not found any reports of any X386 dervied X server
after 4.2.1 working - this platform should be removed from the supported
list until it's working so poor fools like me don't buy new laptops
to discover they aren't supported after carefully cross referencing every
chip in the whole thing to supported hardware lists.
