So I think one of the issues here is that there's so many postings on this
issue, but lots of them are for Mandrake and Suse, and perhaps I followed some
directions I shouldn't have (adding the patchs fglrx-3.7.6-fedora.patch, and
fglrx-3.7.6-regparm.patch). I'm using the fglrx-4.3.0-3.14.1.i386.rpm driver, so
perhaps that's part of the problem.  I suspect if the
flgrx-4.3.0-3.14.1.i386.rpm needed a patch it would be called
fglrx-3.124.1-<fedora/regparm>.patch, right?  So I'm going to try this again
without using the patch.  I'll let you know how it goes.
