Patch for fixing monitor detection bugs

Here is a patch for fixing a few monitor detection bugs. 7200 related problem
(Bug 
# 1301, Bug# 1622 and comment #15 From Lance Albertson) and MonitorLayout
problem 
(Bug# 1374 and Bug# 1482) should be fixed with this patch. There are also some 

experimental code for fixing DDC detection problem originally reported in this
bug 
report and in Comment #11 From Christophe Jacquet. Since I can't find any of
these 
laptops, the fix is based on the log file posted. Please try this patch see if
it 
makes any difference. If it still doesn't work, please post your log file,
