I'm also seeing this in fluxbox with 6.8.0 release.
It looks like any window which is unmapped, and subsequently mapped isn't redrawn.

e.g. The first time a menu is opened, you can see it, but if you visit the same
menu again, you can only see the shadow (assuming xcompmgr -f -c). Similarly, if
a window is minimised, then opened again, you can only see the shadow.

Also using nvidia driver with RenderAccel. I get the same behaviour (only slower
:)  ) if RenderAccel is off.
