I've found the workaround for this problem. Disconnecting DVI, and connecting
the monitor via VGA, has solved the issue. Tonight I had tried some other
suggestions such as turning off DPMS and commenting it out in xorg.conf, but
this did not work. As soon as I applied what is now 6.8.2-1.FC3.13.i386,
tonight, the flashing  returned. Then I substituted the cables and reconfigured
the display settings, and now the display is absolutely stable.
