I've just installed latest CVS DRI drivers and this is what I could notice:

1) in first X server (the one with direct rendering enabled) I can see bad
rendering of some type 1 fonts (similar to
http://ghepeu.altervista.org/immagini/fuffa/font-no2.jpg) but there aren't
anymore glitches like these ones
(http://ghepeu.altervista.org/immagini/fuffa/font-no.jpg)

2) glitches (like the ones in the screenshot in my comment #38) are still
present when direct rendering is disabled (for example in second X server launched)



PS. I compiled 20050207 CVS and the files I installed are:

radeon_dri.so
ati_drv.so
radeon_drv.so
libdrm.so
libdri.so
libGLcore.so
libGL.so.1.2

I couldn't get working openGL with new libglx.so
