I wanted to test this on Friday, but currently building static Xservers seems to
be broken.
This is currently discussed on xorg.

AFAI can see the bug should still show up. There is no code change in the driver
that could make a difference here. I want to test the slowdown Anton has
reported as well, as I do not understand them. xcompmgr should work with rather
large textures, so it shouldn't be affected by the patch at all!
