Summary: Using MergedFB results in garbled display
           Product: xorg
           Version: 6.8.2
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Driver/Radeon
        AssignedTo: xorg-bugzilla-noise at freedesktop.org
        ReportedBy: mag at luminal.org

Problem: when running X with MergedFB enabled, closing and reopening the lid
results in garbled image - heavy flickering, shifting and ghosting. Switching to
a console, closing and reopening the lid fixes the problem, until the next time
the lid is closed with the X running. This only happens with MergedFB enabled.

Software:
Gentoo
Linux 2.6.10
X.org 6.8.2

Hardware:
HP zt3000
ATI Technologies Inc Radeon R250 Lf [Radeon Mobility 9000 M9] (rev 01)

Configuration:
The driver paramers are at default except for:

        Option "MergedFB" "true"
        Option "CRT2Position" "Clone"
        Option "MetaModes" "800x600"
        Option "CRT2HSync" "30-60"
        Option "CRT2VRefresh" "50-85"
        Option "MonitorLayout" "LVDS, CRT"

A relevant portion of the log when starting X in this configuration is attached.
Please let me know if you require any further details.

Thanks in advance,
Michael.
