Hello,

I got the same problems, the font rendering glitches but also something that
looked like a "bandwidth memory" problem. Kinda high frequency waves all over
the screen, specially when a lot of repainting happens (like scrolling large
text view)

However, with 6.8.2 the font render glitches are indeed gone, allas the
"bandwith
memory" render glitches aren't.

I disabled both DRI and put Option "RenderAccel" "Off" in my xorg.conf and the
problem is almost gone. Only on very heavy redrawing activities (Kontact
splitter moving for example does this very very heavily) there are still some
small rendering glitches visable (just all over the screen).

Unfortunately, I can't show a screenshot of this problem, seems screenshots are
rendered offscreen?

As soon as I enable DRI and "RenderAccel" the problem is back again :-(
Hopefully you can find out the problem sooner or later....

Thanks,

Remon
