I tend to agree that there are several problems here since the pre-rendering
workaround patch that fixed the problem for you, didn't help in my case, but the
two workarounds that I found, worked fine.

Matthias, could you try my patch on a 6.8.2 build using the hardware that worked
with your pre-rendering patch?  My patch #if 0's the pre-rendering part out, so
this should give us a good indication if we are seeing one or two problems.  You
might also want to try to force the code to use the non-power-of-2 code since
that code path also works for me with my patch.
