Summary: [i740] corrupt area behind cursor when acceleration
enabled at depths other than 24 on i740 rev 33
Product: xorg
Version: CVS_head
Platform: All
URL: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=282080
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Driver/i740
AssignedTo: xorg-bugzilla-noise at freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: branden at deadbeast.net
This is Debian #282080.
The original submitter, "Rudolf Dovicin" <rudolf.dovicin at rediffmail.com>, did
quite a bit of homework.
XaaNoPixmapCache partially mitigates the problem; NoAccel completely mitigates it.
None of XaaNoCPUToScreenColorExpandFill, XaaNoScreenToScreenColorExpandFill,
XaaNoScanlineCPUToScreenColorExpandFill, or XaaNoOffcreenPixmaps appear to
mitigate it at all, and I don't know what else to recommend to the submitter.
This was filed against Debian's XFree86 4.3.0.dfsg.1-8 packages, but a quick
look at freedesktop.org CVS tells me pretty much nothing has changed in the i740
driver code since 4.3.0 was imported.
