           Summary: rage128 + radeon = system hang
           Product: xorg
           Version: 6.8.1
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: * Other
        AssignedTo: xorg-bugzilla-noise at freedesktop.org
        ReportedBy: jadams at texoma.net

I have one radeon 7000 on AGP, and two Rage 128s on pci. This setup was
previously working on Xfree86 4.3

I can run each single screen with no problems. I can run dual-headed with the
rage128 screens with no problems. I cannot run any combination which mixes
radeon and rage128. If I comment out the 'Load "dri"' line everything works
properly.
If the 'Load "dri"' line is left in and X is started, the radeon screen gets
initialized (the monitor detects the scan freq change), the first rage128 screen
gets initialized, and then the machine hangs. After the hang the machine is
totally unresponsive: cntl-alt-bksp does nothing, the network won't ping,
cntl-alt-delete does nothing, cntl-alt-fn does nothing, all screens are blank.
The 'big red button' is the only way to recover.

I'm using Fedora Core 3 system. I'm up2date with all the xorg and kernel stuff
as of 26Mar2005.

This is low priority as I have a working setup, but there's definitely something
buggy here.

Let me know if you need more info or testing done.
