This needs to update the server documentation
(doc/xml/Xserver-spec.xml).

Also, I think this could/should come before your composite changes so
that the two SourceValidate API changes are adjacent in the commit history.

I've reviewed the rest of the server source to make sure this hits all
of the relevant paths, so you can mark this as
