[PULL] input fixes 24.01

A few corner cases for MT support and one fix from daniel to avoid killing
clients that shouldn't be.

The following changes since commit 954bb994842aa43a0f272858e65036c016b729a4:

  configure.ac: Remove MIEXT_SHADOW_LIB from XORG_LIBS (2012-01-15 02:28:27 -0800)

are available in the git repository at:
