While merging this into OpenBSD repository to give it a test I
stumbled on this commit :

mbtocs should not truncate input

Fixes pasting more than 1024 bytes into xterm, as described in
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25209 

NetBSD had a more complete patch, that I had imported into OpenBSD
since someone reported the issue there too. I wonder if the other
functions deserve the fix too.
