[PULL 1.14] input fixes for 1.14.3

One grab fix for touch devices, one fix for XI 1 devices that caused
spurious jumps because of missing coordinates.
And Keith's fix to bring the XIQueryVersion behaviour in check, along with
Maarten's fixes to make check.
