I think at the time I did it (early September) I was trying to
determine if automake-1.14's new %reldir%/%canon_reldir% features were
actually useful or usable

and needed a smallish project to test them on, and that coincided with
your patch to libXfont... which reminded me that it existed :)

But prefixing your source lists with %reldir% is gross (and not likely
to work in a project like Mesa with a source list shared between three
build systems...), and libXfont is small enough so I just ripped that
out and was left with this patch.
