Yeah, I thought they got suspended when they tried to take the SAREA
lock, which the X server holds while VT switched.

I didn't think DRI2 could be used with user-mode ring management, in
which case I'm not clear what bad things the client is going to do when
it executes various GLX/DRI requests?
