Summary: xorg freeze too often on small action
           Product: xorg
           Version: git
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Driver/Radeon
        AssignedTo: xorg-driver-ati at lists.x.org
        ReportedBy: benderamp at gmail.com
         QAContact: xorg-team at lists.x.org

I have xorg 7.6 from opensuse factory, ATI r600 card with opensource driver.

The system randomly freezes - usually on some action. For example, I have
browser opened on one desktop and yast downloading some packages on the other
desktop. While working in the browser everything is smooth, but once I click on
the desktop switch applet, the system freezes forever - picture on the monitor
does not change, keyboard and mouse do not work (eg - caps lock button does not
change the indicator light). The action might be always different and would
happen at random moment - once I clicked on link to open page with flash and
system freezed, the last time I just clicked on konqueror icon on plasma
launcher and system freezed again.

While X freezed, the system continues to live under it - the sound plays,
alt+sysrq keys work, also after reboot /var/log/messages shows lines with
timestamp after freeze (for example, the freeze was at 8:25 - the panel clocks
show this value, and /var/log/messages has lines with 8:26, 8:27 if I do not
reboot immediately).

Also noted, that sometimes the system is close to freeze - on some action it
freezes for a second just like described above, but then it get released and
all continue to work just fine.

I can attach all required log info, but I'm not sure how to get xorg.log file
at the moment of the freeze because at the moment of freeze it is unaccessible,
and after reboot it is overriden with new values.
