Looks like it should have one.  Other evergreen laptops use the same GPIO lines
for EDID and they work fine on them.  Does it work with a non-Suse liveCD? 
Suse sets i2c_algo_bit.bit_test=1 by default which causes problems with some
i2c buses.  Alternatively, you can try and override that param to 0 and see if
it helps.
