How to set mode to 1080p24 for HDTV

Looking again it's actually DDC that is printing my modes not EDID which 
doesn't list 24p (though it lists a couple which still don't show with 
xrandr)

Cool - if you ever hit problems, which I have with xv + mplayer when 
refresh rate = fps try using mplayer -vo gl:yuv=2 -framedrop.
