xcompmgr and transset shadow management.

You should be able to run 'gdesklets start --translucent' for gdesklets
to use an actual alpha channel, and no shadows.  This worked quite well
for me until recently, when the alpha channel is replaced by black, and
shadows appear.  I'm not entirely sure what caused this to stop
working.  Does anybody have any ideas?
