AFAIK the damage/fixes bits are ready to go, but we'll want to test them
with Composite and all the damage/fixes-using programs that composite
allows. I've pushed "Doing Composite in xorg" up to the top of my TODO
list so I should have something soon.

We'll need to take a look at bugfixes to pull in from DRI/Mesa CVS. DRI
CVS has been destabilized somewhat by the TLS prep work that's happened,
but supposedly all the known issues (except for the sparc asm dispatch,
which can be just disabled) have been fixed. I'll look into what needs
to be brought in some time before release, but not in the next couple of
weeks. It would also be nice to get
http://freedesktop.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=709 fixed as I'm
concerned about compatibility issues if it isn't.
