Make is building nothing

On the Debian based SimplyMepis 03 i tried to compile Xorg ( tried from cvs and tar archive ).

i followed these 2 howto's

But "make World" just goes in every directory and returns with the message that there is nothing to do.

In the end nothing is compiled. ??? I have already added certain libs but i guess something is still missing.

Can anybody help me to compile xorg. Thank you.
