Could you please be more specific about the problem. What are you trying 
to do? What is the result?

The above line seems to indicate that 3D should work. I am not sure if 
Radeon 9000's are supported by the opensource driver. You may want to 
try those provided by ATI (so-called "FireGL" drivers).

What do "glxinfo" and "glxgears" say?
