When I filed the bug before, it was rejected via email or
telephone discussion. That does not seem to have been
reflected in the bug report, which I had never looked at
again since then until now.
I'm not in a habit of committing things to CVS that someone
has explicitly rejected already.
Having said that, if nobody is objecting now, I see no reason
why the patch can't go into CVS now.
