Unfortunately, this is not the case. Under GNU/Linux, lspci reports only
one card:

fheinz at hercules:~$ lspci | grep VGA
0000:00:09.0 VGA compatible controller: Cirrus Logic GD 5462 (rev 01)
0000:01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 65x/M650/740 PCI/AGP VGA Display Adapter

The adapter at 00:09.0 is the Appian, the one at 01:00.0 is the on-board
video card.
