Hal and Xorg output devices

Is Hal even currently capable of finding dcc and edid information? The
system.display namespace seems to be lacking right now, although I've only
glanced through the code quickly.

There is already the system.display namespace in the 0.5 spec, but it's
basically just to tell you if it's a CRT or LCD, and what the LCD brightness is.
