some of the newer ati r3/4xx cards have a dual-link tmds transmitter
connected to the DVO port (the firegl v5000 or v5100 come to mind,
perhaps some oems as well). The driver should already support the
external tmds transmitter, however, it may need some hacks to
initialize it correctly in duallink mode. If you had such a card, I
can probably help you get dual-link mode up and running.
